Hej! ?

I’m sitting here, waiting for Fabian to get up so we can have breakfast! ??- I’m so hungry! While I’m waiting, I thought I’d pop a quick blog post about a lunch spot in Punta Cana. The pictures are from the day before yesterday, when the weather wasn’t too awesome, so we just walked around and explored Punta Cana a bit, or more the Bavaro Beach area. This is the restaurant I told you about in my NYE post – Captain Cook. We had our NYE dinner there and went back to see it again at daylight. I really like the food there, they have fresh seafood and high quality meat. Fabian ordered an Angus steak with rice and I got some fresh jumbo shrimps with fried plantains – you know the fruit that looks like bananas. It actually doesn’t taste like much, maybe even resembles potatoes a bit ?. There are many lunch spots here in Punta Cana I will share once we’ve been to all I want to go to, but this one is definitely worth a visit. They are known for their mixed grilled seafood plate (which we wanted to try but were too afraid because Fabian isn’t the biggest seafood lover and it would be too much for me alone haha). All the locals recommend it and now I know why! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the food with the camera but you’re just gonna have to trust me that it was delicious ?. We paid 55 USD$ for the 2 meals along with 2 Coke Zeros for those of you that are interested in the price.

The rest of the photos were taken at Playa Bibijagua, our favorite beach for now. But I’ll get to that in another blog post?. Fabian woke up now, so we are going to have breakfast now ?.

Blog to you soon!

Lots of Love, M.

  • […] Hope you are all doing great! I’m currently waiting for Fabian to come back from the gym. I’m having a rest day today and will get back to the gym fully energized tomorrow ?. I wanted to share a few pictures from Playa Bibijagua, a public beach in Punta Cana, today. Fabian and I have been walking along Bavaro beach for the last couple of days, until we found this pearl. It’s the cleanest and least crowded part of the beach in Punta Cana we’ve found so far. I think it’s not so crowded because it’s a public beach and tourists usually stay on their resort’s private beach portion. So, unless it’s the weekend and the locals are off work, there are maybe 3-4 people there. Much to my surprise, this is also the cleanest place we’ve seen so far. I expected the resorts to have the nicest and cleanest beaches, however, it turns out a lot of them, have beaches full of sea grass and plants – pretty gross actually. Playa Bibijagua is one public beach in Punta Cana that is really clean! There is also a cafe/bar called Califorña right next to it and a couple of gift shops there. There is a public parking spot right behind the shops, in case you rent a car to come here. You can see the shops in my last post. […]
