Christmas is coming closer and time for getting those Christmas gifts is closing in on you. On top of that you are broke or just don’t want to spend your money on other people besides yourself 😛 But no worries, Ljudi. I got your back, so buckle up and get ready for the ultimate guide for free Christmas gifts. Oh, and also in case you’re wondering – “Ljudi” means “people” in Serbian. Thought I’d be as cool as Latinos and throw in some Serbian words in between. 😀
When you don’t want to spend money, you get creative. You can finally make use of the stuff your siblings or parents are always annoying you with. I’m talking about stuff like “Can you please help me with my homework?” – “Can you clean the house when you come home from school?” and the like. By making some custom coupon for everyone, you spare them the question they’ve been asking you a million times (at least until the next time :P) Aaand you might even get a smile on their face for being a cocky SOAB. Also, make sure you don’t forget to fill in the small print. 😉
I used Canva to design the Coupon and made the design public, all you have to do is register an account on Canva to be able to view and edit my template. Click here to get to the free template.
(If anybody of my friends and family are planning to use these genius ideas for my birthday next week, I’m onto y’all. I know you have money! – JK 😛 )
Personal short movies
If you’re out of money, you can also make a very personal video that can be shown on Christmas Eve. I’m sure you all have some videos of the funniest/happiest/cutest moments with the people you love, so why not use them? You can add 2-3 short clips per person and ask your family members and friends to say some nice things about each other, while recording them. This lets everyone take a trip down memory lane and creates a cozy, happy atmosphere and reminds everyone how much they should appreciate the people that love them.
Personal gifts are my favorite because in a couple of years you won’t remember what you got for Christmas 5 years ago, but you might remember the video that was shown because it meant so much to you. I made a Prezi presentation with videos from friends and family for my boyfriend’s birthday a couple of years ago and he was really happy for it! Give it a try 🙂
Here is a free Prezi Christmas template you can use to insert your own Christmas videos. As unbelievable as it sounds, you can use Prezi presentations for private purposes as well, not just business/school haha 🙂
Paperless post is also a really nice idea if you want to spice up some emails. It’s basically a website (pretty sure they also have an app) that lets you customize some layouts and envelopes with your own text, pictures etc. The cool thing is that once the recipient opens your email, an animation will be triggered, showing the card sliding out of the envelope and more. If you don’t know what I mean, you can check their website to see how it works. Either way, it’s a great tool for those of you that are not creative enough to make their own cool designs and is easy enough to amaze your friends and family. However, each card “costs” a certain amount of coins but the good thing is that you get 5 coins per registered profile, so you should be able to send an email to at least 2 people per profile.
Hopefully, this post helped some of you to get some inspiration for last-minute Christmas gifts. I really enjoyed writing this post because I’m a sucker for these kinds of things. Holidays and birthdays are a big deal for me and I love to make my friends and family happy on these special occasions (to make up for my bad jokes for the rest of the year lol). I’d be happy to hear if some of you actually used any of my suggestions, so drop a comment below or send me an email.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and generally for the love and support I get from you guys! It really means a lot <3
Stay tuned for some more holiday blog posts upcoming soon 🙂
Until next time!
