Hey peeps! ❤️
I hope everybody is doing great and is enjoying their Sunday. Today I wanted to share some pictures from my boyfriend’s graduation on last Monday. It’s been a hectic week, so I haven’t found the time to blog about it until now. Let’s start with a little background information. I don’t know how it is in other countries, but in Denmark you have to defend your thesis in an oral exam after handing it in. So, we’ve been up all night from Sunday to Monday, prepping for his oral thesis defence. He wrote his thesis in collaboration with TDC – the biggest telecommunications company in Denmark, and did a machine learning prototype for automating TDC’s manual email distribution problem. He is studying the same as me – MSc. in Business Administration and E-business – so a combination of IT and business is required for the Master thesis.
In the morning of the defence, we got ready and waited for his parents to come. Then we all went to uni together and waited for his big moment. I was probably just as nervous as him because I know how much work he’s put into it and that he wanted to finish off his studies with a good grade. But I knew he was going to be fine in there & I was right! He got out with a 10 (the second best grade on the Danish grading scale). I am so proud of him and can’t believe that he is actually done with school now haha! No more uni for him (at least for the foreseeable future I guess :P).
Afterwards, he had to quickly go to work to talk with his future boss, which was the perfect opportunity for his parents and me to pick up the surprise cupcakes and get everything ready at home. I ordered the cupcakes from a lady that looked really professional on Instagram and so I had high expectations – which then were CRUSHED when I walked into the bakery and saw these 😂 You guys, the comparison to these cupcakes she made for me and the stuff she has on her Instagram is like somebody promoting Ferrari’s and giving you a used Toyota that’s missing a door or something 😂. The only person I wanted to surprise with those was a trash can 😂. There were discrepancies between the design I ordered and the design I got, so I wasn’t too happy about that. HOWEVER, they tasted really good, so that’s why I didn’t go completely nuts on social media and complain 😂.
Anyway, we went home and fixed them up a little bit, set the table and waited for Fabian to come home. He was really happy about the little surprise and the gifts everybody got him. Later that day, we went out for dinner at Kød Copenhagen with his parents, sister and her fiancé. All in all, it was a really great day and he was happy.
Thanks for stopping by again & blog to you soon!
